NDnano offers collaborative seed grants; proposal deadline is May 31

Author: Heidi Deethardt

Notre Dame’s Center for Nano Science and Technology (NDnano) is accepting proposals from Notre Dame faculty in the Colleges of Science and Engineering for one-year seed grants. The purpose of the funding is to stimulate cross-college and cross-disciplinary research that broadens and deepens the understanding of complex scientific questions and grand technical challenges.

“The NDnano seed grants give faculty and students an opportunity to come together in interdisciplinary collaboration to address challenging problems,” said Derek Lake, NDnano associate director. “These projects promote community among the faculty and can provide the spark for significant future discoveries.”

The request for proposals, including criteria for evaluation, can be found on the NDnano website. Proposals are due May 31, with funding available July 1. Proposers do not have to be currently affiliated with NDnano. Please contact Derek Lake with questions (574-631-6470, dlake@nd.edu).
